Ronald A. Brake O.D. P.A. About Us Dr. Brake received his undergraduate degree at Florida International University in electrical engineering in 1978. Dr. Brake changed careers and graduated in 1990 from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, School of Optometry. Dr. Brake has practiced optometry for over 20 years. He began his career in Clemmons, North Carolina. Over the years he has built an extensive background in disease treatment, surgical co-management and family eye care. Dr. Brake has also participated as a staff member at Wake Forest Eye Center and Bowman Gray School of Medicine in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Dr. Brake is a member of the American Optometric Association and the North Carolina Optometric Association.
